Foundation giving grew in current dollars—representing almost 1/5 of all giving—and total assets held by foundations reached a record high. In addition to ongoing funding priorities, foundations remained agile in responding to crises and emerging social issues, including natural disasters, global conflicts, and social justice initiatives. Further, foundations employed different strategies to address the rising trends in collaborative funding and trust-based philanthropy.
